Weather conditions can be described using weather components that explain, e.g.  rain, storm, rainbow and which are helpful when preparing the weather forecast. Weather forecast provides an estimate of the conditions expected in the near future and is based on statistical models of similar conditions from previous weather events.  There are lots of weather components, but the most frequently used are:

Phenomena and processes, occurring in the atmosphere, are studied by meteorologists based on data from weather stations. Such stations are equipped with various types of instruments that measure the weather components listed above.

Each weather station has:

  2. Soil thermometers
  3. Hellmann rain gauge
  4. Wilde’s anemometer
  5. Windsock (or windcone)
  6. Snow board with snow stick
  7. Campbell–Stokes sunshine recorder
  8. Educational wind and solar energy module
